Marcus Atius Tubero (b. 1998-03-04) was a quaestor of the Imperivm Romanvm. He was one of the first two quaestors for the Imperivm Romanvm and the first Quaestor to pay for his own office, (the first quaestor being Marcus Amatius Cordus whose patron was a founder: Gaius Usonius Nicolaus). Ati Tubero designed the vexillum of the Imperivm and was crucial in creation of the Media Quadrigis Imperii Romani which he created the day before he resigned as quaestor.

Joining the Imperivm Romanvm[edit | edit source]

M. Atius Tubero joined the discord for the Imperivm Romanvm when it was called Hellenic Hospitality as a part of a selection from the Nova Roma server, which he left soon after, on the Kalends of September 2755 AVC (2022). When he joined he was largely met with a cold shoulder excluding pure acknowledgement of joining.

The following day an event kicked off in the Roman Republic Organisation wherein a few members had conducted animal sacrifice. This was met with major backlash and Ati Tubero made his opinion on the matter very clear:

If it's any assistance to the petition you can mention mine and the other two non-citizens who have spoken and pose the threat to recruitment and growth this would be.

I stand with Marcus Amatius Cordus on the stance that if animal sacrifice is in any way involved in this organisation I have zero interest in continuing with an application.

Historical studies and re-enactment are not an excuse to bring back macarbe and violent parts of history.

This was practically unheard of from a hospes and definitely not a hospes that had joined the server the day before. Ati Tubero was already exercising his voice in the upcoming community and had shown promise for a career he had no idea he was going to have yet.

It would not be until past the Nones September until Tubero was heard from again this time he had taken the name of Tubero and was complaining about Nova Roma and their sign up process. The seeds of dissent had already been sewn and the idea of the Imperivm had taken root.

Introduction to the Oppidum[edit | edit source]

It was Pridie Nones Octobres MMDCCLXXIV Tubero got added to the Oppidum project by election of the moderators as he was an exceptional example of Romanitas and goodwill. He was in awe of what he saw and became enthralled by the idea of the project. He immediately pledged himself to the idea and committed himself to the project without thought nor hesitation.

After hearing of the project Tubero became immensely more active on the server and was constantly throwing around valuable suggestions and ideas and gained the trust of all the other project workers.

Inside the Imperivm[edit | edit source]

When the Imperivm began on a.d. XIII Kal. Octobres MMDCCLXXIV. Like many others Tubero was not invited to be a civis. However, he did express great interest in the Imperivm from the start and would continue to do so until the premature end of his quaestorship.

Becoming Quaestor[edit | edit source]

When the Imperivm was starting up its media presence, Tubero immediately wanted to lend a hand in it as he had experience in growing a presence online with other companies. As the plate was too large for Amatius Cordus, Atius Tubero immediately offered to take some of the weight and made a twitter account to build our brand. To which the only problem, the senate had was:

officially he isn't quaestor

The only requirement was performing the oath and donating the required amount which he immediately did. The next day he created the Twitter account and Instagram account for the Imperivm and managed them accordingly.

Vexilla Imperii Romani[edit | edit source]

The first Vexillum Imperii Romani was designed by Tubero with instructions from us going through many iterations of designs. Many were good, but not quite what we were looking for.

Religious Views[edit | edit source]

Tubero is largely agnostic or atheist, he was asked by C. Usonius Nicolaus if he was a pagan, to which he replied

I'm not really anything. Pagan beliefs make more sense to me than most religions but I have had no personal experiences or reasons to turn to worship
