The Oppidum Project is the primary and main project of the Imperivm Romanvm: “A home for all Novi Romani, a place where all pagans can worship, live and share.” Imperivm Romanvm has many more projects and goals, but all of these are stepping stones on the path to this city.
Etymology
The project derives its name from the Latin word for a walled city, oppidum.
Names
The city in which the project will result has many potential names; the most widely liked potential name is Roma Tertia (lit. Third Rome) although this has raised concerns about potential conflicts with another organization.
