Oppidum
The Oppidum Project is a currently temporarily suspended project of the Imperivm Romanvm: “A home for all Novi Romani, a place where all pagans can worship, live and share.” Imperivm Romanvm has many more projects and goals, but all of these are stepping stones on the path to this city.
Prior to a.d. X Kal. Junias MMDCCLXXVI AVC, the Oppidum was is the primary and main project of the Imperivm Romanvm but has since been temporarily suspended to focus on growing the organisation as a whole and the newly-founded Templvm project.[1]
Etymology[edit | edit source]
The project derives its name from the Latin word for a walled city, oppidum.

The city in which the project will result has many potential names; the most widely liked potential name is Roma Tertia (lit. Third Rome) although this has raised concerns about potential conflicts with another organization.
