The Gens Usonia is a patrician gens within Imperivm Romanvm, founded by Gaius Usonius Nicolaus.

Unlike other gentes, Usonia is not historical, being founded entirely in modernity.
Etymology[edit | edit source]
The gens Usonia derives from the word Usonia, an archaic designation of the United States of America meant to reflect specificity over the more broad designation of America. The term derives from 'United States of North America,' Usona, fitted with the Latinate suffix -ia to designate a place or region.
